Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MoonBear mobile applications and related services may collect, use, share, and protect information.

1. Scope and who we are

MoonBear ("MoonBear," "we," "us," or "our") publishes mobile applications and related services. This Privacy Policy applies when you download, access, or use a MoonBear service that links to it.

Because our services differ, a particular service may not use every data category or provider described below. In-app notices and the app-store Data safety disclosure provide service-specific details where applicable.

2. Information we may handle

Depending on the service and the features you choose, we may handle:

  • App activity: feature interactions, progress, preferences, settings, and other actions needed to provide the service.
  • Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, network status, identifiers, and diagnostic information.
  • Advertising information: advertising identifiers, consent choices, ad interactions, and approximate location inferred from technical signals where permitted.
  • Purchase information: product, subscription, transaction status, and entitlement details provided by the applicable app store. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
  • Communications: your email address and the content you send when you contact support.

Some information may remain only on your device, such as locally stored progress or preferences. Removing the app or clearing its data may remove that local information.

3. Device permissions

A service may request a device permission only when a feature needs it. The request shown by your device explains the relevant permission before access is granted.

  • You can deny optional permissions and continue using features that do not require them.
  • You can review or withdraw permissions in your device settings.
  • Withdrawing a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Where required, we provide an additional in-app explanation and request consent before collecting sensitive information.

4. How we use information

We use information only for legitimate service and business purposes, including to:

  • provide, maintain, personalize, and improve service features;
  • remember settings, progress, and purchases;
  • diagnose crashes, performance problems, abuse, and security issues;
  • measure service use and understand which experiences are helpful;
  • show and measure advertising where enabled and permitted;
  • process purchases, restore entitlements, and provide support;
  • meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. Advertising and consent

Some MoonBear services may display advertising. Advertising providers may process device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, consent status, and ad interaction data to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads.

  • Personalized advertising is used only where allowed and when any required consent has been obtained.
  • If you choose non-personalized or limited ads, providers may still use contextual and technical information for delivery, security, frequency control, and measurement.
  • You may be able to review privacy choices inside the service or through your device and Google settings.
Important: advertising choices do not necessarily stop all ads. They may change how ads are selected or measured.

6. Analytics, crash, and performance information

We may use analytics, crash-reporting, and performance tools to understand service reliability and improve the user experience. These tools may receive technical identifiers, device details, app events, crash traces, and performance measurements.

We aim to minimize these events and do not intentionally place passwords, full payment details, or the private content of your communications in analytics events.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by the app store or another payment provider identified at checkout. That provider handles payment credentials under its own privacy policy. We may receive transaction status and product information needed to:

  • unlock, maintain, or restore purchased access;
  • support refunds or purchase questions where applicable;
  • detect fraud and reconcile subscription status.

8. When information may be shared

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers that support hosting, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, communications, security, and other operations.
  • App stores and payment providers to process purchases and manage entitlements.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or respond to valid legal requests.
  • A successor organization if MoonBear is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of relevant assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own and are responsible for their services under their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Retention, security, and deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal or accounting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is used.

  • Local app information may be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
  • Support records may be retained while a request is active and for a reasonable follow-up period.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information may be kept where it no longer reasonably identifies you.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

To request deletion of information held by MoonBear, contact mkt.moonbear@gmail.com. We may need enough information to verify and fulfill the request. Data controlled by an app store or another provider must be managed through that provider.

10. Your choices

  • Review and change app permissions in device settings.
  • Manage advertising choices through an in-app privacy option, when available, and through your device or Google settings.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through the store used for purchase.
  • Limit analytics where a service provides that control.
  • Delete local information by using available in-app controls, clearing app data, or uninstalling.
  • Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we control.

11. Children’s privacy

Our general-audience services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their country, unless a service and its store listing explicitly state otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in violation of applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

12. Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Submit a request by email. We may verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date shows when the latest version took effect. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
